You Are Not Alone…Parenting is Universally Crazy!

You Are Not Alone…Parenting is Universally Crazy!

Many times, when dealing with annoying, hard, crazy days (or kids), parents think it’s just them. They may get embarrassed or frustrated because they feel they are the only ones going through this…

or this…

or even goodness forbid this…

It makes you want to do this (hey, if they can do it, why can’t we?)…

You are not the first parent that has to resort to this…

Or maybe one for you by hiding in one of these (wouldn’t we all with one that looked like this?)…

You may do things you swore you never would, like give them some of these…

While letting them watch this (still dumbfounded by this show, but it really does grow on ya)…

To keep yourself from feeling like this…

But then as you are about to give out a little of this…

You see something like this…

Or are told something so incredibly precious, all you can feel is unconditional love…

So remember you are not the first parent to have clean up a mess…

Again and again…

But it’s worth it…

And once they are doing this (kids are always perfect and precious when sleeping)…

You can and will do this…

Parenting is hard and rewarding, special and imperfect, life changing and a journey. Embrace the chaos and enjoy the crazy…you aren’t the only one going through it!

  1. LOL. Yo Gabba Gabba is a rave for kids. I tell everyone that it makes best sense if you are jacked up on sugar and have the energy of 5 adults!

  2. OMG I love this!!! I am always feeling like this, and it’s wonderful to hear other moms say they want to (and sometimes do) throw a tantrum! Especially with 2 little ones (9 months and 26 months) I sometimes find myself contemplating asking my husband to watch them while I run out for milk and not come back for a day 🙂 But yes, they are perfect and precious when sleeping, even if they didn’t get that way till a 2 hour tantrum that ended at 1 am.

  3. Made my day, thanks so much. I am pregnant with number four and wonder how we will do it. But I pray God will give me enough of the good stuff to balance out how human I am 🙂

  4. The thing that helped me the most was hearing from a mom friend of mine that always seemed to have it together and endless patience that she had rough days too. This post is great, we should all be more honest with ourselves and each other.

  5. Hahaha, this was great. I was so thankful after reading this. It’s nice to know I’m not crazy or going to go crazy. I can and will make it through this. Millions of parents do it, every single day and it’s still every single day we fall in love with our babies over and over again. It’s such a beautiful mess 🙂

Thank you so much for reminding me of this, it’s a must share!
