As new father, I yearned to find a way to be a part of the process. We had an unassisted birth and a remote and uninhabited island – true story, so I got my wish. But more than that I learned how powerful and empowering a woman is who accepts her nature. Her pain and her heart are inseparable. I was humbled and in awe of my wife’s acceptance of her birth and all it entailed. Her vulnerability was hugely empowering because it was her nature that came through. And I commend the author of this post for encouraging this.
