At the end of May 2012, I launched a Birth Fund. So many women and their families are in need of help and I’ve been there. I wanted to do something no one else is doing…help a mother pay for her birth.
After legal papers were drawn up and signed, information verified, and donations from myself, our sponsors and many fellow BWF followers, I was finally able to follow through with this vision. BWF was able to donate $1200 to a wonderful family in need to go towards their upcoming birth!!!
Mom is doing well and is currently in her 3rd trimester. I can’t wait to hear from her when she goes into labor and whens she births her precious baby with the support that she chose.
It is because of many of you that this was able to happen. I can’t do this alone. With your donations, sharing posts, etc…donations came in.
Unfortunately at this time, we have way more requests for help than we do funds. We can not help people without the resources. We would love to help more BWF Mamas and their families!!! We are humbled to find yet another way to support women in their births!
If you would like to be part of helping another woman have the support she needs and deserves to have an empowering birth, donate whatever you can. The saying, “Every little bit helps”, is a true one.
Thanks again to all those who have supported me in this dream becoming a reality. I know without a shadow of a doubt that we are doing something amazing.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” ~Margaret Mead

Amazing! This new is so inspiring! Thank you for sharing and we admire all the support and advocacy, at Midwife International. We work to support midwives and moms in need around the world by training midwives who are equipped to work in resource-constrained regions where maternal and child mortality is high and the need for professional midwives is greatest.

So awesome! I plan to deliver my 5th son with no support. I wanted a doula there for support but the $450.00 cost was way out of our budget. I am sure there are many, many others that would love to have the blessing of being able to deliver naturally but are afraid. I shall step out and deliver my son without support and things will go just fine I’m sure. Thank you for all that you do. I’m in my last tri and starting to get a little scared so have been reading the birth stories here and they are so inspiring. <3 Thank you sincerely!

What you are doing is amazing! It is people like you who change the world. I really admire you for creating a way to help moms pay for birth. I wish I could find a fund for single new moms with serious postpartum physical complications who can’t afford medical treatment.
