“I haven’t had a chance to write out my story but I have a beautiful video to capture the beauty of my birth. I am a doula and CLC and work with an amazing group of women who were by my side to support and love me. Enjoy!” ~Stacey
She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Isaiah, who was 9lbs 2oz and 22.5 inches on September 2, 2011 at 4:32pm.
This video is incredible and I’ll tell you why. I could absolutely relate to the raw intensity and “Oh my God” feeling this mom had. That moment when you are completely stretched open and baby is descending is the craziest experience. You have absolutely no control over anything except how you react. When the feeling is at its most intense, the next thing you know, you are holding your precious newborn baby.
(There is a little language right after baby is born.)
“It’s SO AMAZING to see so many women educating and informing themselves as to what birth should be. We are so happy that we were able to find the knowledge that we did to make an informed decision and have a natural birth with our 3rd child. What a difference not being induced artificially makes!!! It’s about time women take their power back and start birthing the way nature intended!!!! Thank you for your site and information- I am proud to be a part of it.” ~Savannah
Awesome Video Shows 3rd Stage of Labor and Post Birth at Home
Betsy sent me her video put together by One Tree Photography to show what it is like after baby is born at home. She says…
“This film is of the birth of my third baby. She was born in June.
My first birth was a hospital birth in which I narrowly avoided a c-section. My baby spent five days in the NICU. We both suffered.
My second birth allowed me to heal.
And my third birth was simply joyful. I’m so grateful to have had the experience.
Our photographer and midwife missed the birth because after two days of latent labor, my body sped right through active labor and pushing very quickly! My husband snapped a few photos of me in transition and then a few right after the baby was born. He guided her out of my body himself! The photographer arrived a bit later.
I’m so proud of this film and would love for you to share it! I think it shows how peaceful and family-oriented birth can be.”
Ellen DeGeneres! Doulas Singing in the Bathroom Just For You!
Xylina and her sisters and made this silly video to hopefully get on Ellen and spread the news that doulas make birth better! They filmed it in the bathroom just like Ellen does with her musical guests! Hope you enjoy!
I shared this video months ago on Facebook. It’s an incredible birth video shared by Sarah with Geneabirth of a natural twin birth. It was her fourth birth of her fourth and fifth child/ren. They were a planned home waterbirth. They were 40 weeks and 3 days in gestation. She was surrounded by three midwives, her husband, three daughters, and other friends and family. It’s an amazing and wonderful birth to watch. The twins are born one and a half hours apart.
At the end you will also see the birth of the placentas, which are fused. The photos are separate…but it is worth it to watch them immediately after the video.
Sarah emailed me recently and shared the following…
“Thank you for posting my twin homebirth video on your facebook page months ago. Because you did this, it has been viewed 140,000 times (*now over 700,000*), passed to other sites and it is truly opening eyes!! I have had women contact me via youtube about switching to homebirth with twins and starting to question their care providers on what their options are.”
It means a lot to me to get feedback like this. To know how far BWF is reaching in informing and supporting women in birthing choices!
Here are the pictures as well. Another 3 1/2 minutes of greatness. Enjoy and share!
Amanda sent her video in to share with the BWF Mamas. Her journey, after a loss and finding out her baby was breech took a lot of research, education and faith. She was open to listening to her instincts and to God. Her faith in both carried her through fearing another loss, finding out her baby was breech and how to birth, then finding support in having a vaginal breech birth! Thank you Amanda for sharing your journey, your courage and your faith with us. ~Mrs. BWF
I am getting more into watching birth videos as I am somewhere around 30 weeks. This is when my confidence starts building up as I start to focus more on my upcoming birth. Here are a few videos I watched this week that I just love.
This mama used Hypnobabies techniques to trust birth and stay peaceful and calm. She totally gave over to the process!
A BWF mama shared this on the BWF Facebook page. It is gorgeous, raw and beautifully edited. Took my breath away.
