BEAUTIFUL! Thanks so much for sharing. My 26 month oLd dd and I just watched the slide show and she exclaimed ,”BABY!” when she saw the first precious pics. We are planning our first home birth coming up in Spring. Your story has me even more excited!

This is a beautiful story. Thank you for posting. I’m very grateful. My first birth experience sounds very similar to the one mentioned in this story. I hope to have my second (if that time comes) at home, but still need to get my husband on board in order to be confident enough to do so.

This is so wonderful. THIS is how labor and delivery should be. I do understand the need for hospital births when there’s a chance of something going wrong but this is what I want for my next child. Mine were hospital births and the first was 6 hours and the second 9 hours from beginning to end so I think that I could really do a natural home birth well. They did so many unnecessary things in the hospital that I didn’t need and ended up causing problems in the long run. I look forward to a natural, calm birth. Great job mama and congrats on the beautiful baby!

I do believe EVERY woman is capable of having a birth expereince just as yours. I think that with the right mindset from the beginning and really being in tune and listening to your body, it is possible to understand that, yes, it will hurt but the more relaxed you are the more relaxed your body is and it will do what comes naturally. I had all four of my children in the hospital but with no or little intervention. I labored very naturally and was calm and relaxed with each one. My first baby was 8 pounds and I only pushed 3 times. I felt so good when it was done. All the nurses were surprised. Congratulations to you and your new family
