This Is Birth

by Mrs. BWF on January 6, 2014

We have shared a series of ‘that moment of birth‘ before captured perfectly by Apple Blossom Families. Recently, this same photographer sent me a series of water birth photos that took our breath away. We are sharing here, as Facebook tends to remove these images from our Birth Without Fear Facebook page.

Isn’t this amazing?!

Here are more from this birth. Mom and Dad caught their baby girl with the assistance of a midwife in their home.

These are stunning pictures! I love her bright eyes looking around and her dark hair to match daddy’s chest. It’s just all beautiful. I loved my 3 waterbirths (out of 5). Nothing like it :-) Congrats!

Man these are awesome. Photos like these are why I try to convince all my clients to add Morag on as birth photographer 😉

Oh this is just beautiful! That photo of baby on mums chest, looking at her like “Woah, mum, that was wild!”, just made me feel so happy. Ahh! Gorgeous!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this with us. The most beautiful moments in life are those that we gently bring a child into this world, lift them to our breast, and revel in the beauty that is their perfect little selves. I never tire of seeing it happen again and again. Simply magical.

I so love this. All that hair is amazing, my daughter was born with a head full of hair as well. I so want a home water birth for my next :)!

That bubbas face in the cuddle pic with mum is just an amazing capture, a really awe inspiring view and reason why I love and wish to get into the field of birth photography!

Being a midwife is the best job! Those pictures capture the beauty, rawness, and strength birth is!

Brie January 9, 2014 at 1:17 pm

This is so beautiful!! I unfortunately ended up with a c-section after planning a drug-free water birth and I never got to have this moment. I woke up about 2 1/2 hours after my daughter was born and I couldn’t hold her due to the drugs. This blog is so amazing and I love being able to see these amazing moments!

Roimata January 11, 2014 at 3:28 am

Beautiful, just beautiful.

Kerry January 17, 2014 at 5:30 pm

Wow, what amazing photos. The one of the baby locking eyes with mom was incredible. And I have to say…..what a beautiful baby, even having just been born, she’s gorgeous!

Laura January 19, 2014 at 5:50 pm

I am in awe. So peaceful and loving, I wish all births could be like this :-) I love the photo of the dad holding the mom while in labor–such a sweet, gentle love they share. This little girl is so precious, it looks like she has her mom’s face and her dad’s hair.

Shalaina S January 21, 2014 at 12:42 am

Those photos are so awesome!! They totally made me relive my last birth experience (completely different, but a successful VBA2C). I’m so happy for that family :-)
